“ The service was not all that great, but I'm sure it gets better and we just came at a bad time. It wasn't rude service, just slow and not really paying much attention. If you come here, you've got to get something off the menu. The burger I got was very large and it tasted awesome. I was surprised by how good the food was, as this was a restaurant in the middle of a state park! It was odd, but I'm glad the food was so good. Also pretty affordable. But the buffet is not affordable, so I recommend menu items. ”
“ Food was amazing and only over shadowed by the service. One lady overheard one of our guys say the soup could only be better with cornbread. She stopped and said I'll make you some and she did. We ate there 4 meals and all were delicious. ”
“ Not fancy and no frills but fresh, tasty food in a clean, airy space with friendly, attentive staff. Thank you, Alyssa! ”
“ This place is more like an actual resort than a state park. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms and cabins are extremely clean and there are lots of things to do if you enjoy the outdoors. If you don't like the outdoors there are satellite TVs in every bedroom and common area! Restaurant has good food and everyone from the park rangers to the front desk person were so nice and helpful. Definitely coming back! ”
“ For a State Park, this is a very very good restaurant to eat at. Daily buffets along with a menu. Prices are reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. We had the club sandwich and it was stacked high and very good. Be sure to check out the half price appetizers during the afternoon during happy hour they are good also. Very good place to eat at if you are in the area. Scenery is great, golf course on site, boat ramp, some places to walk. And no entry fee to get inside of the park. ”
“ Restaurant has more than enough options available to accommodate your family or group no matter the size. They also offer full on sitw catering with awesome prices and the staff to match!! ”
“ The food was great. The service for lunch was awesome. The service for breakfast not so good the next morning. I had to get my own everything. The girl stayed in the kitchen, hollering back and forth with someone or on her phone in the corner. ”
“ We stop in to have the buffet fairly often. There is a hike from the dock straight up hill.. but if you can manage that, the food is always southern. The sweet tea delicious. The buffet items change from time to time. I general stick to the softer foods here, the fried chicken is average, but the turkey legs and the meat loaf and the Salisbury steak, yummy I would recommend eating here if you are out with your family, looking for a little relief from the heat and some good comfort food. ”
